Koijärvi Movement

The Koijärvi Movement ( Finnish : Koijärvi-liike ) was a Finnish environmental movement that began in the spring of 1979. Its objective was to prevent the draining of Lake Koijärvi  ( fi ) near Forssa , an important bird habitat. [1] The struggle for national and international organizations. [2] [3] It was one of the most prominent of a wave of environmental actions in Finland at the time of the formation of the political party of the Green Leagueand the election of Greens to the Finnish parliament and the establishment of a national environmental ministry. [4]
